Today I needed a break, so I went to the kitchen to make some guacamole. So good... I really should start playing in the kitchen again. ♥

guacamole; avocados, tomatoes, onions, lemons, cilantro, salt, pepper.


I have yet to find better avocados than the ones from my uncle's tree. Despite the ugly exterior, these avocados are always perfect inside. Every. Single. Time.


I sliced and scooped the avocados in a bowl and made sure to leave a few pits to keep it from browning.


After that, I mashed it with a large spoon.


Then I chopped up the other ingredients-- never underestimate the power of sharp knives!


Most of the time I just eyeball it, but here's an idea of what I used: 8 avocados, 4 tomatoes, ½ large onion, ¾ bunch of cilantro, 2 lemons, salt and pepper to taste.


Usually I'd use lime, but since I had none on hand, I opted for lemons.


It was so good! I ate it by itself, and then later for dinner slathered on my spam musubi.
