What a blessing it was to celebrate a lovely birthday with old and new friends at the beautiful Commissary! It's been quite a long time since we've all been out together, and I loved every minute of it. I'm so thankful for these kind of long friendships-- where time apart and far distances don't affect the quality of our relationships once we're back together.

pan roasted scallops; green sauce, pea shoots.

seared black bass; brown sauce, buttered peas.

chicken confit; multi grain risotto, wild mushrooms, jus.

clam chowder; New England style, bacon, tabasco and green curry eggplant; coconut milk, shallots, thai chilies.
